About This Scholarship
The A*STAR ACIS Scholarship supports outstanding PhD candidates pursuing cutting-edge research in computing and information science at the National University of Singapore, with a focus on artificial intelligence, data science, and computational technologies. The programme provides comprehensive financial support and is designed to develop future research leaders for careers in industry R&D, technology enterprises, and academic institutions.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly stipend for up to four years (SGD 5,800 for Singapore Citizens, SGD 4,800 for Singapore Permanent Residents, SGD 4,550 for International Students)
- Full tuition fee coverage
- Monthly sustenance allowance
- CPF contributions for Singapore citizens
- Book allowance
- Computer allowance
- Conference allowance
- Miscellaneous and thesis-related allowances
- Support for overseas research attachments (up to 12 months)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Be a PhD student or applicant intending to pursue a PhD
- 2 Hold at least a second upper-class honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- 3 Demonstrate strong interest in computing and information science research
- 4 Open to Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents, and international students
- 5 Demonstrate strong research potential in AI, computing, or data science fields
- 6 Show interest in careers in academia, industry R&D, or technology enterprises
