About This Scholarship
The A*STAR Computing and Information Science (ACIS) Scholarship 2027 is a fully funded PhD scholarship for top talents pursuing doctoral research in computing and information science at Singapore’s leading research institutions. The scholarship provides one of the highest monthly stipends for government research PhD programmes in Asia, comprehensive funding coverage, and access to world-class research infrastructure.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fee coverage
- Monthly sustenance allowance (SGD 5,800 for Singapore Citizens, SGD 4,800 for PRs, SGD 4,550 for international students)
- CPF contribution for Singapore Citizens
- Book allowance
- Computer allowance
- Conference allowance
- Miscellaneous allowance
- Thesis allowance
- Up to 12 months overseas attachment support
- Eligibility for A*STAR International Fellowship (up to 2 years post-doctoral funding)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be applying for a PhD program at an A*STAR-affiliated university in Singapore
- 2 Must have obtained at least a Second Upper Class Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- 3 Must demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a computing and information science research career in industry R&D labs, technology enterprises, spin-off companies, and/or academia
- 4 All eligible nationalities welcome: Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, and international students
- 5 GRE scores may be submitted as optional component to strengthen application
