About This Scholarship
The Australia Awards Scholarships provide fully funded degree programmes at participating Australian universities for international students from partner countries in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, travel, and health insurance for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD studies.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fees
- Contribution towards accommodation expenses
- Contribution towards textbooks and study materials
- Return economy class airfare to and from Australia
- Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE) - fortnightly payment for basic living expenses
- Pre-course English (PCE) fees
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for duration of award
- Introductory Academic Program (IAP)
- Supplementary academic support
- Fieldwork airfare (for eligible research students)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen of a participating country in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, or the Middle East
- 2 Must be a minimum of 18 years of age on 1 February of the year of commencing the scholarship
- 3 Must not be a citizen of Australia, hold permanent residency in Australia, or be applying for permanent residency
- 4 Must be residing in and applying from their country of citizenship
- 5 Must remain unmarried, not engaged, and without a de facto partner who holds or is eligible for Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency during application, selection, or mobilization phases
- 6 Must not be current-serving military personnel
- 7 Must have satisfied any specific criteria established by the Program Area or government of applicant's country
- 8 Must be able to satisfy all requirements of the Department of Home Affairs to hold a student visa
- 9 Must satisfy admission requirements of the institution where the award is to be undertaken
- 10 Must not be applying for a course of study at an academic level lower than already achieved
- 11 English language proficiency required
