About This Scholarship
The Brandtech Group AI for Good Scholarship seeks to identify and elevate five young African leaders aged 18-30 with demonstrated AI solutions for sustainable and responsible use of AI. Selected scholars will attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town from 3-6 November and receive comprehensive support including accommodation, travel, and access to mentoring programmes.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town (3-6 November)
- Hotel accommodation in Cape Town (2-6 November inclusive)
- Return air travel
- Full catering (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- Ground transportation between Summit venues in Cape Town
- Access to Pencil AI generative AI SaaS platform
- Lifelong membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community
- Access to Brandtech AI for Good Alumni network
- Access to the One Young World Action Accelerator and expert-led mentor sessions
- Access to the One Young World Global Kickstart programme for enhanced leadership skills
Who Can Apply
- 1 Young leaders aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026
- 2 Nationals and residents of any African countries
- 3 Demonstrated AI solutions in Africa
- 4 Demonstrated capacity for leadership and promoting the responsible use of AI
- 5 Track record of generating impactful and innovative solutions using AI
- 6 Solutions must address one or more of the five pillars: sustainability/climate change, education access, combating misinformation/online hate, health access/inequality, or active citizen engagement
- 7 Understanding of key local and/or global issues
- 8 Willingness to engage with fellow scholarship recipients and Brandtech Group staff/management at the Summit
