About This Scholarship
The Canon Collins RMTF Scholarships 2027 provides financial aid ranging from R20,000 to R100,000 per year for Master’s and Doctoral scholars pursuing degrees at accredited South African universities, prioritizing candidates with sustained commitment to social justice, human rights, and regional development. The scholarship is available for full-time, part-time, or distance-learning study and includes access to a dynamic network of Southern African scholars and changemakers.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a national of, or hold official refugee status in, an eligible Southern African country
- 2 Must be applying to, or already enrolled in, a Master's or PhD program at a recognized South African higher education institution
- 3 Must possess at least two years of sustained engagement in social justice, human rights, community work, or development initiatives
- 4 Must hold a recognized undergraduate degree (for Master's applicants) or Master's degree (for PhD applicants) with a strong academic track record
- 5 Qualifying experience includes professional or voluntary NGO work, community organizing, public service, policy research, advocacy campaigns, teaching, or environmental activism
