About This Scholarship
The Central South University Scholarship 2027-2028 provides fully funded postgraduate programmes for international master’s and doctoral students covering tuition, on-campus accommodation, medical insurance, and monthly stipends. This scholarship is available to excellent non-Chinese citizens from all countries who meet language proficiency and academic background requirements.
What This Scholarship Covers

- Monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for master's students; CNY 3,500 for doctoral students)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Non-Chinese citizen with no criminal record and in good health
- 2 For Master's: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; age 18-35 years
- 3 For Doctorate: Master's degree or equivalent; age 18-40 years
- 4 For Chinese-taught programs: minimum HSK4 score of 220 (science/engineering) or 260 (arts/social science/medicine); HSK5 score of 200 for Chinese language and literature
- 5 For English-taught programs: minimum IELTS score of 6 or TOEFL score of 85
- 6 Exemption from language requirements if: first/official language is Chinese or English, or previous degree taught in Chinese or English
- 7 Strong academic background and innovative research capabilities required for postgraduate applicants
- 8 If under 18 years old, must be no younger than 16 with eligible guardian living in China
