About This Scholarship
A fully funded three-day Spring School for early career researchers in South Africa exploring climate, peace and security through interdisciplinary learning, practical training, fieldwork and regional networking. The programme takes place from 2 to 4 September 2026 at the University of Fort Hare’s East London Campus and is designed to build interdisciplinary skills and regional networks among researchers working on climate and security challenges.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an early career researcher, including Master's and PhD students, postdoctoral research fellows or young professionals
- 2 Must be working in environmental science, peace and conflict studies, political science, migration, sociology, development studies or related fields
- 3 Must currently live in South Africa
- 4 Women and applicants from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply
