About This Scholarship

The Chevening Scholarship 2027 is a fully funded master’s programme offered by the UK government to international students from eligible countries worldwide. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living allowance, flights, and other essential expenses for a one-year full-time taught master’s degree at top UK universities.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country
  • 2 Must not hold British or dual British citizenship (unless citizen of British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) from Hong Kong)
  • 3 Must not hold refugee status in a non-Chevening-eligible country
  • 4 Must have completed an undergraduate degree equivalent to UK upper second-class honours (2:1) or higher by application submission
  • 5 Must have at least two years (2,800 hours minimum) of work experience gained after completing undergraduate degree
  • 6 Must have proficiency in English
  • 7 Must apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received at least one unconditional offer by July
  • 8 Must commit to return to country of citizenship for minimum two years after scholarship completion
  • 9 Must not be an employee, former employee, or relative of UK Government staff (within last two years) or Association of Commonwealth Universities staff
  • 10 Must not have previously studied in the UK with UK government-funded scholarship funding
