About This Scholarship
The CIPHER Research Grant Programme awards up to USD 140,000 over two years to early-stage investigators from low- and middle-income countries conducting research on paediatric and adolescent HIV in resource-limited settings. The programme is designed to strengthen research capacity, support career development, and enable investigators to serve as principal investigators for the first time on research projects addressing critical gaps in paediatric and adolescent HIV.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an early-stage investigator who obtained their terminal research degree (PhD, MD, MBBS or equivalent) less than 10 years before the application deadline (after 30 September 2016)
- 2 Must be serving as principal investigator for the first time
- 3 Must not have previously received a non-training research grant exceeding USD 30,000
- 4 Must be from a low- or middle-income country
- 5 Must have the skills, formal education and access to resources necessary to carry out the proposed research
- 6 Must work with a mentor to develop the research plan
