About This Scholarship
The DAAD BIDS Scholarship provides funding for international students who graduated from German schools abroad in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, or the Czech Republic to pursue undergraduate studies at Technische Universität Dresden. The scholarship offers €450 per month for 12 months (October 2026 to September 2027), totalling €5,400 for the first academic year.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly stipend of €450 for 12 months (€5,400 total for first academic year, October 2026 to September 2027)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a graduate of a German school abroad (DAS/DSD/DPS school) in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, or Czech Republic
- 2 Must hold a school leaving certificate that provides direct university entrance qualification in Germany (IB, GIB, German Abitur, or country-specific secondary school certificate)
- 3 Must have an average grade of 2.5 or better
- 4 Must be applying for an undergraduate degree programme (Bachelor, Diplom, or State Examination) at TU Dresden
- 5 Must not hold German citizenship
- 6 Preference given to applicants in MINT subjects, though other fields are eligible
