About This Scholarship
The DIW Berlin Graduate Center offers structured doctoral study in economics and evidence-based policy research for international scholars. Successful candidates benefit from collaborative coursework, research experience, and financial support throughout the five-year duration of the program.
What This Scholarship Covers
- No tuition fee
- Monthly stipend of 1,650 euros for the course phase in Year 1
- Employment at one of DIW Berlin's research departments (TVöD, EG 13, 75%) for the research phase in years 2 to 5
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must possess strong academic credentials and distinct research interests.
- 2 Must demonstrate the ability to pursue doctoral-level study.
- 3 Must submit academic transcripts, degree certificates, a curriculum vitae, a letter of motivation, and two academic recommendation letters.
- 4 May be required to provide GRE General Test scores and English language proficiency results depending on applicant circumstances.
