About This Scholarship
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program awards approximately 4,000 grants annually to foreign students to pursue Master’s or Doctorate degrees and conduct research at universities across the United States. The program is administered by binational Fulbright Commissions, Foundations, and U.S. Embassies, with country-specific eligibility requirements and application procedures.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen of an eligible country with an active Fulbright program
- 2 Must reside in the country of nomination at the time of application
- 3 Must possess the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree with a good academic record
- 4 Must be fluent in English with minimum TOEFL score of 550 (Paper Based), 79-80 (Internet Based), or 6.5 IELTS (Overall Score)
- 5 Must not hold U.S. citizenship (dual citizens are ineligible)
- 6 For Master's programs: must hold a four-year bachelor's degree or combination of bachelor's and master's degrees for 16 years of formal education; new graduates encouraged to apply except MBA and Public Policy/Management candidates who require 2 years professional experience
- 7 For Doctorate programs: must hold M.Phil, master's degree, or equivalent (minimum 18 years of formal education); candidates should have work experience in teaching, research, or public sector
