About This Scholarship
The Fung Global Fellows Program is a 10-month fellowship at Princeton University for early-career scholars from around the world to conduct research on the 2027–2028 theme ‘Democracy in Crisis?’ exploring democratic governance challenges and resilience. Fellows will be appointed as Visiting Research Scholars and engage in interdisciplinary conversations with Princeton’s academic community and international cohort members.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must have received a Ph.D. (or equivalent) generally after September 1, 2017
- 2 Must have a faculty appointment or professional research appointment at an institution outside the United States
- 3 Must be employed outside the United States and expected to return to position upon fellowship completion
- 4 Must demonstrate outstanding scholarly achievement and unusual intellectual promise
- 5 Cannot be currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program
- 6 Cannot be employed as a postdoc
