About This Scholarship
The University of Manchester offers over 350 merit-based Global Futures Scholarships to international undergraduate students from select African countries, with a total value exceeding £6 million for September 2027 entry. Each award provides £12,000 per year for three years, awarded as a discount on international tuition fees based on academic excellence and predicted/achieved grades.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Tuition fee discount of £12,000 per year for three years
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be domiciled in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, or Zimbabwe (predominantly resided there for last three years)
- 2 Must have or be working towards A-level, IB Diploma, South African NSC/IEB, NCUK International Foundation Year, or Bridge House College Foundation qualification
- 3 Applying for direct first-year undergraduate entry in September 2027
- 4 Must be self-funded (not sponsored)
- 5 Must select University of Manchester as 'Firm' UCAS choice by 15 May 2027
- 6 Must be enrolling in full-time courses at Manchester UK campus
- 7 Not eligible for Medicine (MBChB), Dentistry (BDS), Architecture, or courses with integrated foundation year
- 8 Must not have previously studied in the UK
- 9 Not eligible for blended or distance learning programmes
