About This Scholarship
The Gotoh Tokyu Group Scholarship provides fully funded support for exceptional international students pursuing a combined Master’s and Doctoral (PhD) degree pathway at Tokyo City University over up to 5 years. Recipients receive complete tuition exemption, free dormitory accommodation, and an annual stipend of ¥1,000,000 JPY to support advanced research in engineering, environmental science, and information studies.

- Full initial and monthly dormitory rent coverage at TCU designated dormitory
- Annual stipend of ¥1,000,000 JPY
Who Can Apply
- 1 International applicants from all countries are eligible
- 2 Must have completed a total of 16 years of education
- 3 Must be within two years after obtaining a bachelor's degree
- 4 Must demonstrate academic results within the top ten percent from a university within the top ten percent of universities in their country
- 5 Must be able to submit a letter of recommendation from the university president
- 6 Must be enrolled in a Master's degree course and continue to a Doctoral degree course at TCU
- 7 Must not be receiving any other scholarships
- 8 Must demonstrate excellence both academically and personally with expected significant contributions to research and internationalization
