About This Scholarship

The Government of Slovakia Scholarships for Talented Students provide opportunities for international students from all over the world to pursue full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree studies in Slovakia. The scholarship offers up to €15,000 in funding along with monthly stipends and tuition fee waivers at selected higher education institutions.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Scholarship grant up to €15,000
  • €500 per month stipend for 10 months each academic year
  • Tuition fee waiver at selected Slovak public HEIs
  • Health insurance under Slovak law
  • Visa and residence procedure support

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Be an international student from any country
  • 2 Have no permanent or temporary residence in Slovakia since January 1, 2020 (exceptions apply)
  • 3 Must not have studied at a Slovak higher education institution or secondary school (exceptions for Erasmus+ participants or Slovaks abroad)
  • 4 Have completed secondary education (for bachelor's degree) or hold a bachelor's degree (for master's degree)
  • 5 Apply to a full-time, in-person programme at a Slovak public higher education institution
  • 6 Provide SAT score of at least 1100
  • 7 No age limit (those under 18 require guardian consent)

Submit required documents: valid passport or national ID, SAT test result (minimum 1100), structured CV (template provided), motivation letter (template provided), admission letter from a Slovak HEI (if available), solemn declarations regarding residence and academic history, certificates of participation in mobility programmes (if applicable), and guardian consent (if under 18)

Submit the complete application no later than 31 July 2026, 23:59 CET exclusively online
