About This Scholarship
The DAAD GROW Scholarship funds short research stays in Germany for early-career researchers, scientists, and academics from OECD DAC countries to conduct development-related research projects. Scholars deepen their expertise, expand scientific networks, and increase visibility in the international research context while contributing to global development goals.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly stipends
- Travel allowance
- Insurance coverage
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be from countries on the OECD DAC list (primarily Sub-Saharan Africa, also Latin America and Asia)
- 2 Must be a doctoral candidate, postdoctoral researcher, university teacher, or established academic/scientist
- 3 Must be employed at a university or research institute
- 4 Must not already be in Germany at the time of application
- 5 Must not be conducting entire doctoral or postdoctoral research at a German higher education institution
- 6 Women, socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals, and persons from disadvantaged regions or groups are especially encouraged to apply
