About This Scholarship
The Hokkaido University MEXT Scholarship supports international students with outstanding academic achievements pursuing Master’s degrees at the Graduate School of Environmental Science under the Japanese Government’s MEXT Scholarship Program. The scholarship covers full tuition, travel expenses, and provides monthly stipends for the duration of study.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Be an international student with outstanding academic achievements at graduate school level
- 2 Enter Japan as a new student or already staying in Japan
- 3 Have earned a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.30/3.00 or above in their degree or currently enrolled courses
- 4 Maintain GPA of 2.30/3.00 or above while receiving the scholarship
- 5 Meet English language proficiency requirement: achieve B2 or higher level in CEFR on English language proficiency tests at time of application, or complete school curriculums using English as main language meeting conditions for admission in Japanese graduate school
