About This Scholarship
The I AM NALA Fellowship 2027 is a leadership initiative supporting young African women aged 18-40 who are refugees, internally displaced, stateless, or displaced in the diaspora, and are aspiring or current political leaders. The fully funded fellowship runs from January to July 2027 and provides capacity-building, mentorship, technical support, networking opportunities, and leadership development.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a young African woman aged 18-40 years
- 2 Must be a refugee, internally displaced person, stateless person, or displaced person
- 3 Must demonstrate leadership and engagement in political, social justice, peacebuilding or advocacy efforts
- 4 Must be one or more of the following: leader of a campaign or women's group, member of an existing consortium or collective focused on alliance building, young woman involved in cross-conflict negotiations, young woman politician currently serving in political office, or aspiring political leader
- 5 Must demonstrate commitment to Nalafem values: solidarity, social justice, dignity, equity, and decolonial feminist pan-Africanism
- 6 Should align with one or more of the Africa Young Women Beijing +25 Manifesto demands
- 7 May include displaced Africans living in the diaspora
