About This Scholarship

ICRISAT’s Study-cum-Research Program (ISRP) offers structured learning, research exposure, and professional development for students and researchers in dryland agriculture and agri-food systems across multiple categories: Internship (6 weeks to 3 months), Master’s Research (3 months to 6 months), Doctoral Research (6 months to 3 years), and Research Fellow (6 months to 18 months). Participants contribute to ongoing ICRISAT projects while enhancing their skills and building networks for further education and career progression.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Candidates should have been enrolled in a recognized academic institute/university for Master's (MSc-level research), Doctoral (PhD-level research), and BSc (for internship) programs
  • 2 Student research/internship should be a part of their academic requirements
  • 3 Candidates should have completed all required coursework and should be free from classroom attendance during the period of study at ICRISAT
  • 4 Recent graduates (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) seeking to enhance their skills for further studies, employment, or market readiness are also eligible to apply
  • 5 Applicants must procure and maintain self-acquired travel, accident, and health insurance for the duration of their stay at ICRISAT

How to Apply

Pay non-refundable application fee (USD $20 for international applicants or INR ₹1,500 for Indian applicants)

Selection based on alignment with ICRISAT scientists' requirements, academic performance and qualifications, and optional personal interview
