About This Scholarship
The Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) is a capacity building program offering high-achieving African students a two-year scholarship opportunity to pursue post-graduate studies at master’s level in key development sectors. Upon completion, scholars are expected to return to their home countries and contribute to national and continental socio-economic development.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Tuition fee coverage for 24 months
- Monthly living stipend for 24 months
- Air travel from home country to host university and return
- Health insurance
- Additional six months for advance preparatory study or internships after graduation
- Special grant for research and thesis preparation (for scholars engaged in research)
- Computer literacy, preparatory language and other similar courses (in special circumstances)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen or national of a regional member country of the African Development Bank
- 2 Must be a high-achieving student
- 3 Must have relevant educational and professional experience
- 4 Must have a track record of supporting their country's development efforts
- 5 Must be applying for post-graduate studies at master's level
