About This Scholarship

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program is a fully-endowed leadership development initiative offering graduate students up to three years of comprehensive financial support to pursue degrees at any of Stanford University’s seven schools. Beyond tuition and stipend coverage, scholars participate in extensive leadership training, cross-cultural collaboration, and networking opportunities designed to prepare them for impactful careers across academia, government, business, and the nonprofit sector.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Full tuition support for up to three years
  • Living stipend for accommodation and academic expenses

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must apply and be admitted to a full-time graduate degree programme at Stanford University
  • 2 May pursue graduate studies in any of Stanford's seven schools (master's, doctoral, professional or joint degrees)
  • 3 Applicants from all countries and academic disciplines are eligible
  • 4 Must demonstrate independence of thought, intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, creativity and innovation
  • 5 Must demonstrate purposeful leadership with ethical conduct, courage, resilience and commitment to creating meaningful change
  • 6 Must embody civic mindset including collaboration, teamwork, humility, empathy, integrity and service to communities
