About This Scholarship
The Monash University Malaysia Graduate Research Excellence Scholarship supports high-achieving students pursuing research master’s or PhD degrees at Monash University Malaysia with a full tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend. The scholarship provides funding for up to two years for research master’s degrees and three years and six months for doctoral degrees.
What This Scholarship Covers
- 100% tuition fee waiver
- Monthly stipend of MYR2,950
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a new applicant applying for admission or a current Monash University Malaysia graduate research student in their first year of candidature
- 2 Must apply for or be enrolled in an eligible research master's or doctoral programme at Monash University Malaysia
- 3 Must possess First Class Honours (H1) or equivalent academic qualification
- 4 Must meet the academic and English-language admission requirements of the selected graduate research programme
- 5 Must have received or be eligible to receive an offer to study at Monash University Malaysia
- 6 Must not have already completed a graduate research degree at the same level
- 7 Must submit complete and verifiable evidence of English proficiency
- 8 IELTS Academic: Overall 7.0 with at least 6.5 in each component (Arts, Business and related fields) or Overall 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each component (Engineering, IT, Medicine, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Science)
- 9 If holding external financial assistance, must obtain approval from Monash University Malaysia Scholarship Office with no conflicting conditions
- 10 Current students may apply only once during their first year of candidature
