About This Scholarship
The Kellogg Postdoctoral Visiting Fellowship is designed for recently graduated PhD researchers whose work focuses on global or comparative democracy. Fellows receive a $75,000 annual stipend, comprehensive medical insurance, research funding, and relocation support while conducting independent research at the University of Notre Dame.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must have completed a PhD within three years prior to fellowship commencement
- 2 Research must focus on global or comparative democracy
- 3 PhD degree or comparable degree in a social scientific discipline preferred (other fields may be considered in exceptional circumstances)
- 4 Not eligible if PhD was obtained from University of Notre Dame
- 5 Non-US citizens and residents must have advanced English proficiency
- 6 Valid passport and J-1 visa required for foreign nationals
- 7 Must meet US immigration J-1 visa category requirements (24-month home residency rule may apply)
