About This Scholarship
The Oxford Saïd Global Climate Tech Challenge is an international competition inviting high school students (aged 15-18) and teachers from around the world to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions to tackle urgent climate challenges including air pollution, extreme weather, food security, biodiversity loss, and water scarcity. Finalists receive all-expenses-paid trips to Oxford, with winning teams and teachers receiving full scholarships to prestigious summer schools and executive education programmes.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full scholarship to Future Climate Innovators Summer School 2027 in Oxford (for winning student team)
- Oxford Executive Education Programme 2027 (for winning teacher)
- All-expenses-paid trip to Oxford for finalist teams
- All-expenses-paid trip to Oxford for finalist teachers
- Travel and accommodation costs covered for finalists
- Certificate of participation from Oxford Saïd
- International exposure and recognition
- Network access with students, teachers, academics, and climate experts globally
Who Can Apply
- 1 Student applicants must be between 15 and 18 years old
- 2 Student teams must consist of 3 to 5 members
- 3 Individual student applications are not accepted
- 4 Students from any country can apply
- 5 Teams may include students from one school, multiple schools, one country, or different countries
- 6 Applicants must submit a climate technology solution related to one of the five competition themes (air pollution, extreme weather, food security, biodiversity loss, water scarcity)
- 7 Students must submit a PowerPoint presentation in PDF format
- 8 Teams must include a video presentation of up to three minutes
- 9 Each student must submit a signed consent form from a parent or guardian
- 10 Teacher applicants must be high school teachers
- 11 Teachers from all countries are eligible
- 12 Teacher applications must come from an individual (team applications not accepted)
- 13 Teachers must submit lesson plans focused on climate change awareness and solutions
- 14 Lesson plans should align with school curriculum objectives
