Overview
The Pan African University (PAU) is a continental initiative of the African Union aimed at nurturing world-class postgraduate scholars and researchers. The 2026–2027 scholarship call invites African students to pursue Master’s and PhD studies at PAU Institutes across Africa.
PAU graduates are positioned to lead Africa’s transformation through research-driven solutions in governance, technology, climate resilience, education, water management, entrepreneurship, and health.
What the Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fees for the entire duration of the program
- Monthly living stipend
- Medical insurance coverage
- Research support and thesis supervision
- Accommodation at the host university
- Travel support for some institutes
Eligibility
Master’s Applicants
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- Minimum upper second-class honors or equivalent
- Under 30 years old
PhD Applicants
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong research proposal aligned with PAU themes
- Under 35 years old
General Requirements
- African Union citizenship
