About This Scholarship
The ReCIPE Big Research Grants offer up to £100,000 to support innovative, policy-relevant research at the intersection of conflict, economic growth, and public policy. This competitive funding scheme is coordinated by the Growth Research Platform (GRP), a CEPR initiative funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO), and supports ambitious research projects requiring significant resources, data collection, and field engagement.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Research assistance funding
- Data collection and/or data purchase
- Researcher stipends
- Travel to field sites
- In-country activities (with strong justification)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Researchers and multidisciplinary teams eligible to apply
- 2 PhD students eligible but assessed on experience with large-scale research; encouraged to apply with senior co-investigators
- 3 Research must align with one or more of ReCIPE's core themes (public policies for peace, private and public investments and peace, institutions and democracy, geoeconomics, climate change and natural resources, information and conflict, ethnic diversity, peacemaking and reconstruction, gender and inequality)
- 4 Projects must demonstrate policy relevance to at least one ReCIPE Focus Country
- 5 All proposals must be submitted in English
- 6 All financial information must be in pounds sterling (GBP)
- 7 Applicants must have read and agree to ReCIPE's Code of Conduct for Researchers, CEPR's Conflict of Interest Policy, Fraud/Bribery/Corruption Policy, and Privacy Policy
