About This Scholarship

Seattle University offers fully funded merit-based scholarships for international undergraduate students covering up to $48,000 over four academic years. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years for students who maintain satisfactory academic progress and continuous full-time enrollment with the required GPA.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Merit scholarship up to $12,000 per year ($48,000 over 4 academic years)
  • Renewal for up to four years based on satisfactory academic progress

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be an international student from any country in the world
  • 2 Must maintain the equivalent of a U.S. grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • 3 English must not be a first language (must demonstrate English proficiency)
  • 4 Must provide official, certified English language translations of all transcripts from each educational institution

How to Apply

Register and complete application through Common Application

Submit transcripts/grade reports for the equivalent of US grades 9-11 and grade 12 if completed

Submit copies of national exam results if applicable (GCSE/IGCSE, WAEC, KCSE, Gaokao, Indian Boards)

Provide two letters of recommendation (one from a classroom teacher and one from a school counselor or school official)

Demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE (or submit SAT/ACT scores of 500+ for critical reading and writing or 20+ for ACT)

Complete pre-financial information form as part of application

After admission and confirmation of enrollment, submit Declaration of Finances form and bank statements showing financial resources to cover at least one year of costs
