About This Scholarship
The SNU President Fellowship Program provides fully funded PhD opportunities for teaching and instructional staff members from universities in developing countries to pursue doctoral degrees at Seoul National University. The program aims to develop future academic leaders who will return to their home countries to enhance teaching quality, research capability, and academic advancement.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fee for six semesters
- Monthly stipend of KRW 1,500,000 to KRW 2,000,000 for 3-4 years
- Round-trip economy class airfare
- Korean language training (evening classes during regular semesters)
- National health insurance coverage
- Child care support
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a teaching/instructional staff member of a major university in a developing country
- 2 Must hold a Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution
- 3 Must NOT have a PhD degree
- 4 Must be currently employed in one of the following positions: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Research Professor, Lecturer, Instructor, Teaching Assistant, or Research Assistant
- 5 Must have been employed for at least six months in a teaching or research role (for expected Master's degree holders)
- 6 Must be a newly admitted PhD student at SNU for Spring 2027 semester
- 7 Must be able to provide proof of current employment at a university
