About This Scholarship

The SIDS Scholarship 2026 offers a fully funded Master of Science in Water and Sustainable Development at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The programme is designed to strengthen water-management capacity in vulnerable Small Island Developing States by equipping professionals with skills to design and implement sustainable water solutions in their home countries.

  • Monthly living allowance of €1,220 per month for accommodation, food, transport, and daily living expenses
  • Access to advanced laboratories and research facilities

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a national and resident/worker of an eligible Small Island Developing State (SIDS)
  • 2 Must meet academic admission requirements for the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development
  • 3 Must be living and/or working in one of the eligible countries
  • 4 Must agree to conduct MSc research in their country/region associated with one of the programme's projects
  • 5 Must commit to active participation in and contribution to seminars organized for the learning networks of the programme
  • 6 Must confirm commitment to return to country of origin or other priority country of the programme
