About This Scholarship

SOAS is offering over 150 International Master’s Scholarships valued at £8,000 in the form of tuition fee waivers to new students beginning their studies in the 2026/27 academic year. The scholarship is designed to recognise and reward overseas applicants with outstanding academic performance for full-time postgraduate taught programmes.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • £8,000 tuition fee waiver (first year of study only)

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must hold an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught (on-campus) programme at SOAS
  • 2 Must be classified as an overseas fee-paying student
  • 3 Must hold a minimum UK upper second-class (2:1) degree or international equivalent
  • 4 Must not be in receipt of any other SOAS scholarship or full-fee scholarship/sponsorship from another source
  • 5 Joint partnership programmes are ineligible

How to Apply

Apply for admission to a postgraduate taught programme at SOAS by the scholarship deadline (28 February, 30 April, or 30 June)

Submit a complete online application for admission

Apply for the scholarship via the admissions portal using your course application login credentials

If awarded, pay the CAS deposit of £4,000 as part of acceptance conditions
