About This Scholarship
Sophia University offers two scholarship schemes for international students entering in 2027: the New Student Scholarship covering one-third, one-half, or full tuition, and the Benefactors’ (Adachi) Scholarship covering full tuition and education enhancement fees. Both scholarships are designed to support excellent students facing financial hardship who have selected Sophia University as their first choice.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fee or one-half of tuition fee or one-third of tuition fee (New Student Scholarship)
- Full tuition fee and education enhancement fee (Benefactors' Adachi Scholarship)
- Coverage for first two semesters with opportunity to apply for additional support for subsequent years
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be applying for 2027 Sophia University Undergraduate or Graduate School entrance examination
- 2 Must possess excellent academic grades
- 3 Must demonstrate financial hardship affecting studies
- 4 Must have Sophia University as first-choice university
- 5 Must hold a valid Student visa status at time of admission
- 6 Must be enrolled in eligible programs (Faculty of Liberal Arts, Digital Green Technology, SPSF, Global Studies, Global Environment Studies, TESOL, Education, International Cooperation Studies, or Green Science/Engineering)
- 7 For Adachi Scholarship: must be from Southeast Asia or Africa (specific country list applies)
