About This Scholarship
The Stanford Science Fellowships 2027 programme supports exceptional early-career researchers undertaking fundamental experimental or theoretical research in natural science disciplines at Stanford University. Fellows receive a three-year appointment with an annual $98,000 stipend, research funding, relocation support, and professional development opportunities.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must have been awarded a PhD within the three years prior to the start of the fellowship
- 2 Must have no more than two years of prior postdoctoral experience at another institution
- 3 Must be an early-career scientist with a strong record of scientific achievement
- 4 Must propose research in natural sciences (not primarily social sciences)
- 5 Must have at least one Stanford faculty member agree to host the applicant
- 6 Must not be currently affiliated with Stanford in a paid or unpaid position through the end of February during the selection process
- 7 Cannot be a current Stanford graduate student or postdoc
- 8 International scholars must qualify for a J-1 visa (or F-1 extension in some cases)
- 9 International scholars on H-1B employment visas are ineligible
- 10 Must be willing to participate in one or more faculty research groups and professional development activities
