About This Scholarship
The Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme promotes socio-economic progress in developing countries by providing scholarships for second-degree studies at Polish universities in STEM and select humanities fields. The programme is a joint initiative of Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of Polish development aid.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen of one of the eligible developing countries
- 2 Must not have Polish citizenship and must not have applied for Polish citizenship
- 3 Must be planning to start second-cycle studies or a preparatory course in the 2022/23 academic year or later
- 4 Must be in the final year of first-cycle studies or hold a first-cycle diploma in engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences, exact sciences, or natural sciences obtained in an eligible country no earlier than 2020 (humanities and social sciences diplomas also accepted for European, Central Asian, and South Caucasus candidates)
- 5 Must not have obtained a diploma of second-cycle studies or long-cycle master's studies
- 6 Must have documented language proficiency: minimum A2 level Polish (if starting one-year preparatory course) or B1 level Polish (if starting second-cycle studies directly in Polish), or minimum B2 level English (if studying in English)
