About This Scholarship

The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship is a prestigious award offering $20,000 annually (renewable) to international undergraduate students entering their first year. The scholarship recognizes outstanding academic merit and is available across all undergraduate programs at the university’s 14 faculties.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Tuition support ($20,000 renewable annually)

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be an international student required to pay differential tuition fees
  • 2 Must not be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • 3 Must be entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program
  • 4 Must satisfy the university's English language proficiency requirement
  • 5 Must demonstrate academic merit
  • 6 For renewal in years 2-4: must achieve a GPA of 2.60 or higher over a minimum of 24.00 units in previous fall and winter terms
  • 7 Must continue to pay international differential tuition fee as an international student

How to Apply

Apply for your undergraduate program at University of Calgary by creating a UCalgary eID

Complete the program application using the application guide

Submit your application and pay the $145 application fee

Submit required documents as directed by the Calgary Student Center

Access your Student Center in your myUofC portal

Click on the "My Financials" page

Scroll to the Awards & Scholarships section and click "Apply for Undergraduate Awards"

Review available applications and deadlines in the pop-up window

Complete the scholarship application before the deadline
