About This Scholarship

The University of Newcastle’s International Excellence Scholarship awards top-achieving overseas students enrolled in qualified undergraduate or graduate coursework programs with funding ranging from AU$4,000 to AU$8,000 per year. This merit-based award aims to attract and assist outstanding students from around the world with tuition fee waivers applied directly to their university student account.

  • AU$4,000 to AU$8,000 per year for full-time study load

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be an international full-fee paying student
  • 2 Must be commencing study in an eligible CRICOS-registered undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree in eligible programs
  • 3 Must not be the beneficiary of a separate university scholarship unless prior approval for special dispensation has been obtained
  • 4 Must be able to meet the financial obligations of a full fee-paying international student as specified by the Australian Government

How to Apply

Apply to the University of Newcastle for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree through the standard university admission application
