About This Scholarship
The Victoria University of Wellington Tongarewa International Scholarships support new international students beginning undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the university. The scholarship provides partial tuition fee assistance of up to $10,000 plus a tax-free stipend for one year of study, awarded competitively based on academic merit.
What This Scholarship Covers

- Direct fee payment to the university
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an international student (not a New Zealand citizen)
- 2 Must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university
- 3 Must demonstrate strong academic merit and leadership potential
- 4 Must be willing to abide by Victoria University of Wellington student behavior guidelines
- 5 Selected candidates must work full-time on research to complete the Master's qualification
