About This Scholarship
Washington State University automatically considers high-achieving international undergraduate students for the International Academic Award upon admission. The award provides tuition waivers ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 per academic year based on cumulative GPA.
What This Scholarship Covers
- $4,000 per academic year tuition waiver (for cumulative GPA 3.60 or higher)
- $2,000 per academic year tuition waiver (for cumulative GPA 3.0 to 3.59)
- Automatic renewal for eligible first-year students (up to 3 additional years) and transfer students (up to 2 additional years)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an international student offered admission to Washington State University
- 2 Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate student
- 3 For Level 1 Award: Cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher
- 4 For Level 2 Award: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 to 3.59
- 5 First-year students must have less than 1 year of college credit
- 6 Transfer students must have earned at least 1 year (27 semester hours) of transferable college credit
- 7 Must maintain non-resident degree-seeking student status
- 8 For renewal: Maintain minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA by end of spring semester
- 9 For renewal: Complete 12 credits each semester or 24 semester credits by end of spring semester
