About This Scholarship
The WTO Young Professionals Programme 2027 is a fully funded one-year fellowship for young professionals from developing and least-developed WTO member countries to gain work experience at the WTO Secretariat in Geneva. The programme aims to enhance understanding of WTO principles, expand expertise in international trade, and increase representation from underrepresented regions within the organization.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly salary of CHF 4,000, medical cover

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be 32 years old or younger at the start of the program
- 2 Must be from a WTO member state
- 3 Must hold an advanced degree in economics, law, international trade, or other relevant fields
- 4 Must have completed the advanced degree before application submission
- 5 Must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience related to WTO operations
- 6 Must be proficient in English
- 7 Must have a strong interest in international trade and dedication to work with the WTO
- 8 Proficiency in French or Spanish is advantageous
- 9 Must be familiar with the functions of the WTO
- 10 Priority given to candidates from WTO member countries lacking professional-level representation in the Secretariat
