About This Scholarship
HAN University offers merit-based scholarships for international students from non-EU/EEA countries enrolling in full-time English-taught bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes at HAN University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. The scholarships, offered in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, include the HAN NL Scholarship and the Honors Scholarship designed to reduce tuition costs and support living expenses.
What This Scholarship Covers
- HAN NL Scholarship (Bachelor): €2,500 per semester for first year, then €2,500 per year for following 3 years (maximum €12,500 total)
- Honors Scholarship (Bachelor): €2,500 in second year, then €2,500 in third and fourth years (maximum €7,500 total)
- HAN NL Scholarship (Master): €2,500 in first semester and €2,500 in second semester (maximum €5,000 total)
- Honors Scholarship (Master): €2,500 once-only payment in second semester
Who Can Apply
- 1 National of a country outside the EU/EEA (excluding Suriname)
- 2 Do not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands
- 3 Have not previously been enrolled in a degree at a university or university of applied sciences in the Netherlands
- 4 Have been accepted into a full-time English-taught degree programme at HAN
- 5 Have an IELTS score of at least 6.5, TOEFL iBT score of at least 90, or Cambridge Certificate (CAE or higher)
- 6 For HAN NL Scholarship: Outstanding academic achievements
- 7 For Honors Scholarship: Outstanding academic performance in first year (bachelor) or first semester (master) and not previously awarded HAN NL Scholarship
