About This Scholarship

The Just Tech Fellowship is a one-year fully funded program offering up to $60,000 unrestricted awards to researchers, artists, technologists, and practitioners working at the intersection of technology and society. Fellows participate in a cohort-based program with monthly virtual gatherings, individualized mentoring, and one in-person workshop while advancing their own research, creative, or community-engaged projects.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a researcher, artist, journalist, community-based researcher, social scientist, humanist, technologist, or public-interest practitioner

  • 3 Project must engage digital or emerging technologies in substantive ways
  • 4 Applicants from diverse backgrounds and career paths are welcome

Submit personal statement (up to 1,000 words written or 5 minutes video) describing research or creative practice, primary areas of focus, and guiding questions

Submit work proposal as either written document (maximum 3,000 words) or project deck (up to 10 slides) addressing concept description, engagement with technology, and approach and contribution
