About This Scholarship

The KAS Scholarship Program 2026 is a fully funded scholarship opportunity for international students from eligible African countries to pursue Master’s and Doctoral degrees at German universities. The program provides comprehensive financial support, academic training, leadership development, and professional networking opportunities to support scholars throughout their studies and future careers.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be from eligible countries: Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Tanzania, or Ethiopia
  • 2 Must demonstrate German language proficiency at minimum B2 level (Goethe-Institut or equivalent certificate)
  • 3 Master's applicants must intend to enroll in a four-semester Master's program at a German university
  • 4 Bachelor's applicants must have completed at least two semesters of a Bachelor's program at a German university
  • 5 Must demonstrate above-average academic performance
  • 6 Must demonstrate strong social responsibility and active community engagement
  • 7 Must show commitment to democracy, human rights, and social values
  • 8 Must be involved in volunteer work or social initiatives
