About This Scholarship
The Food Lab Fellowship 2027 is a research residency at Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht for artists and designers working at the intersection of food, ecology, and social systems. The fellowship combines artistic practice with scientific collaboration through partnership with Maastricht University’s System Earth Science department to develop long-term research projects exploring sustainable food futures.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an artist, designer, or creative researcher
- 2 Must be working with food-related themes
- 3 Must have an established or developing artistic practice
- 4 Must demonstrate a strong research orientation and commitment to exploring food systems through artistic inquiry
- 5 Must be an individual applicant (not group applications)
- 6 All materials must be written in English
