About This Scholarship
The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Scholarship supports highly-qualified undergraduate and doctoral students from Germany and abroad who demonstrate high levels of social and political engagement. The scholarship provides comprehensive funding including tuition fee waivers, monthly living stipends, and research grants, with preference given to women, students from non-academic or migrant backgrounds, and people with disabilities.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Tuition fee waivers
- Monthly living stipend (EUR 1,400 per month for doctoral students)
- Mobility allowance (EUR 100)
- Other expenses allowance (EUR 20)
- Research grants
- Opportunity to conduct research on global issues
Who Can Apply
- 1 High academic and professional qualifications (above-average academic achievement)
- 2 Political and social engagement aligned with the aims of Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung
- 3 German language proficiency at B2 level or above
- 4 Enrolled in a full-time degree programme at a state or state-recognized German university
- 5 For international Master's students: must reside in Germany for studies and plan to return to home country after completion
- 6 Preference given to women, students from non-academic or migrant backgrounds, socially needy individuals, and people with disabilities
- 7 Strong leadership skills and willingness to abide by Rosa Luxemburg scholar guidelines
