About This Scholarship
The HDR Scholarship supports postgraduate students of outstanding research promise undertaking a higher degree by research at Edith Cowan University, covering full tuition fees and providing a living stipend. Awards are offered on the basis of academic merit and research performance for PhD and Master by Research programmes.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fee sponsorship
- Stipend of AUD $35,000 per annum paid fortnightly
- Overseas Student Health Cover partial reimbursement for international students
- Relocation allowance for domestic students (where applicable)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must have been made an offer of a place in an ECU Higher Degree by Research (PhD, Integrated PhD or Master by Research)
- 2 Must be a domestic or international MSc or PhD student
- 3 Must have principal supervisor endorsement to undertake the proposed research project
- 4 Must not have received an Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) or Australia Award scholarship within the last two years
- 5 For Doctor of Philosophy: commencement date must be on or before 01/12/2026
- 6 For Doctor of Philosophy (Integrated) or Masters by Research: commencement period must be by Semester 2, 2026
