About This Scholarship
The Quebec Merit Scholarship Program for Foreign Students (PBEEE) aims to attract top foreign researchers and students to Quebec institutions while supporting the internationalization of research activities. The program covers Master’s, Doctoral, Postdoctoral, and Short-term Research programmes across all disciplines at Quebec universities and College Centres for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT).
What This Scholarship Covers
- Master's: $20,000 per year, up to two years
- Doctoral: $25,000 per year, up to three years
- Postdoctoral: $35,000 per one year
- Short-term research: $3,000 per month, up to four months
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an international student (not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident)
- 2 Must not have applied for Canadian citizenship or permanent residence
- 3 Master's: Cannot have completed more than three full-time terms (one year) in your Master's program as of May 1 following the application deadline
- 4 Doctorate: Cannot have completed more than nine full-time terms (three years) in your PhD program as of May 1 following the application deadline
- 5 Postdoctoral: Must have obtained PhD no more than two years before the competition deadline; postdoctoral research must be conducted at an institution other than the one that granted the doctoral degree
- 6 Short-term research: Must have obtained PhD no more than five years before the deadline; research or professional development must be conducted at an institution other than the one at which you were enrolled at the time of application
