About This Scholarship

The RTP Stipend Scholarship is funded by the Australian Government and provides AUD $38,000 per annum to support domestic and international students undertaking higher degrees by research at CQUniversity. Recipients receive consistent financial support for up to three years to assist with living costs while conducting advanced research aligned with the university’s strategic priorities.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • AUD $38,000 per annum stipend for living costs
  • Fortnightly payment through payroll system
  • Up to 3 years of funding

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be enrolled in an accredited Research Higher Degree (RHD) course at CQUniversity
  • 2 Must be classified as either a domestic or overseas student
  • 3 Must meet all university admission and enrolment requirements
  • 4 Must demonstrate strong academic and research potential
  • 5 Must not receive income from another source supporting general living costs exceeding 75 percent of the RTP Stipend rate
  • 6 Income unrelated to the research degree or funding for research activities does not affect eligibility
  • 7 For RTP Fees Offset: must not be receiving an equivalent Commonwealth scholarship for RHD tuition fees

How to Apply

Discuss your interest in an RHD Scholarship with your supervisory team

Supervisory team will recommend eligible applicants to the School of Graduate Research

Prospective applicants will be invited by the School of Graduate Research to complete an application

Applications assessed using Scholarship Assessment Scale across three categories: academic achievement and writing skills (0-20 points), quality of research project and alignment with university priorities (0-15 points), and evidence of motivation and research experience (0-15 points)
5
Merit-based selection determines award allocation
