About This Scholarship
The Hanns Seidel Foundation Scholarships support talented and socially committed international students and doctoral candidates studying at state or state-recognized universities in Germany. The programme provides financial support combined with academic guidance, seminars, networking opportunities, and personal development programmes.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Study cost allowance (up to €855 per month for students plus €300 study cost allowance)
- Doctoral scholarship (up to €1,650 per month plus €100 research cost allowance)
- Health insurance and nursing care insurance support, where applicable
- Family allowance, where applicable
- Childcare support, where applicable
- Seminars and workshops
- Mentoring and networking opportunities
Who Can Apply
- 1 Be less than 45 years old (for international students)
- 2 Have proof of German language skills of at least B2 level or comparable
- 3 Demonstrate above-average academic performance
- 4 Be actively involved in voluntary work
- 5 Be politically interested
- 6 Support democracy, rule of law, and human rights
- 7 Be enrolled in or admitted to a full-time course of study at a state or state-recognized university in Germany
- 8 For doctoral candidates: be admitted to a state or state-recognized university or research institution in Germany
