About This Scholarship
The University of Aberdeen Humanitarian Scholarship supports talented postgraduate students whose education has been interrupted by armed conflict, providing fully funded Masters study at the Aberdeen campus. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living stipend, flights, visa costs, and hardship funding for one academic year.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fee waiver
- Living stipend aligned with UKVI requirements (£10,539)
- Free accommodation in University halls of residence
- Return international flights (up to £1,000)
- UK Student Visa application fee coverage
- Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) coverage
- Hardship funding (up to £500)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must reside outside the UK at the time of application
- 2 Must hold international fee status
- 3 Must be eligible to apply for a UK Student visa with valid travel documentation
- 4 Must hold an offer of admission for a full-time eligible postgraduate taught Masters programme at University of Aberdeen (Aberdeen Campus)
- 5 Must demonstrate academic excellence equivalent to UK First Class Honours degree
- 6 Must have been directly affected by armed conflict or face serious ongoing risks (including internally displaced persons, direct threats to life/safety, imminent displacement, entrapment in conflict zones, or severe deprivation of essential needs)
- 7 Must not already hold a qualification equal to or above the Masters programme applied for
