About This Scholarship
The University of Ottawa offers two scholarships for newly admitted international students studying in English-language undergraduate programmes. The International English Admission Scholarship provides up to CAD 60,000 over four years, while the International English Academic Excellence Scholarship provides an additional CAD 10,000, with combined potential support reaching CAD 70,000.
What This Scholarship Covers
- International English Admission Scholarship: CAD 7,500 per term (up to CAD 60,000 over four-year degree, maximum 12 instalments, renewable)
- International English Academic Excellence Scholarship: CAD 10,000 (CAD 5,000 per term, non-renewable but can be combined with Admission Scholarship)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an international student with a valid study permit
- 2 Must be newly admitted for Winter 2026 term or later
- 3 Must be enrolled in an approved English-language undergraduate program in one of the following faculties: Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, or Telfer School of Management
- 4 For International English Admission Scholarship: minimum admission average of 80%
- 5 For International English Academic Excellence Scholarship: minimum admission average of 90%
- 6 Must not enrol in the French immersion stream
- 7 Must be enrolled full-time
- 8 Canadian citizens with dual citizenship are not eligible
- 9 Must pay international tuition fees (not domestic fees)
